Puppy name: Wendy

I am one who believes that God has His hand in everything, no matter how insignificant it may seem to us.

The story of Princess and Ethan is one that really reminds me of God's Divine will. On a Sunday, I got an email from Becky Bright in Arizona who had visited our website and was looking for a pup for her family which included a 6-year-old named Ethan who has cerebral palsy.  She explained to me that a dog would be good for him because he could interact with a dog.  She told me that Ethan would have a short life and she wanted it to be a good one.  I sat there with a lump in my throat looking at puppy Wendy.

It just so happened that we were scheduled to fly to Arizona on Wednesday for family vacation!  It all seemed to be too good to be true.

We dropped Wendy off at their residence upon arrival and she went right at her puppy business of romping and playing with her new kids and investigating the yard.  When she came to Ethan, she calmly sat and looked at him and then began licking his hands and arms.  She was smitten with him from the start.

This photo was taken after a week in Ethan's life.  There is no doubt in my mind that this match was made in Heaven.

Sadly, Princess crossed over the Rainbow Bridge due to a sudden bout with Parvo.
